Jeff Haight Brilliant production covering an impressive range of IDM, ambient, glitch and even elements of DnB. The Butterfly Effect is especially captivating and is one of many highlights to be found on this EP. Highly recommended! Favorite track: The Butterfly Effect.

Andrulian An excellent EP that's really hard to describe, there are elements of IDM and almost a dnb / dubstep feel at times. The complex rhythms are superbly arranged and processed often contrasting against an ambience from synths and pads that adds just an edge of tension.

I really like how the EP grabs and holds your attention and allows you to interpret the songs in many different ways.

about

"Human was the music, natural was the static..."

"The Butterfly Effect" is a brand new concept EP from Fragile X.

Loosely based around the 'chaos theory' branch of mathematics, it sees the label boss return home to Bricolage with his characteristic sound design and anomalous approach to percussion lighting the way on a six track release full of splintered beats and complex layers. Where a network of dynamic melodic elements systematically shift around among a dense array of deep basslines and a backdrop of sci-fi tinged atmospherics.
