We’ve long sought after a stand-alone release from the prodigious Devras Plexi here at Bricolage and today we get our wish with an audio kaleidoscope in the shape of his new “frequent inspirational chore” album.

It’s a bright and complex body of work that combines a colourful blend of prismatic textures that are slowly becoming symbolic to the stimulating productions of the Austin native. This release sees him merge his distinctive tones and sound palettes together with glitchy elements and intricate, shifting melodic patterns. Ever morphing beats and that sense of dreamlike warmth, that he so often delivers with ease, take the sounds to another level as we get a glimpse into the world of an ambitious and colourful mind.

Six months after the original release we’re proud to present a revamped version of “frequent inspirational chore” that features three new additions (“sources vi”, “diffuse:Grid” and “ender’s song”) and is rounded off by a stunning Lo-Jacker remix of the initial closing track.

The pure weirdness and the dissonance are what originally drew me to Danny Playamaqui's music. It always makes me grin to hear it, because I can imagine how strange it must sound to other people.
