Three and a half years after her debut album, "Ancestral Origins" was released, we welcome the return of Canadian sound sculptor and field recording specialist, Minimal Drone GRL, to Bricolage.

Her new album, "Through A Green Lens", follows further along the storytelling path that was introduced on her debut. This latest audio collage digs deeper into her journey and encapsulates the various places that she has inhabited throughout her life. There's references to the suburbs, cities and the countryside.

Travelling is also a big part of Joanne's life and the sights and sounds of the places she has visited have inspired a stirring whirlwind of affection and memories that are laid out here, among the soundscapes on offer.

When you combine the elements of home life and travelling the result is "Through A Green Lens". Joanne's life through her eyes.

This stunning sophomore album effortlessly weaves together facets of ambient, dream pop, vaporwave and electronica.

The MDG signature sound has always been expansive in nature and encompassing in emotion. "Through A Green Lens" continues that approach but with an evolution on the production side. Every sound has its place along the voyage and every new chapter of her story unfolds like a conversation with an old friend around a campfire.
